June 26, 2007 "While I was running I saw a helicopter (not a UN helicopter) hovering above Yei, no where near a UN camp/base or the airport which is 20 km away from Yei. The helicopter had a lot of black smoke coming from it and it started to land in the town. It turns out the helicopter crash landed. Mark and I were taken to the scene today. No one was hurt, there was fire on the helicopter and it forced it to land. However the pilot must have lost control of the helicopter at the last seconds of landing. The helicopter is in the trees next to a large open field, the rotor blades cut the tree tops and branches off all around it. Mark and I took some pictures of the trees and the helicopter."
